Mr. McCarthy has represented and advised Fortune 500 and international corporate clients in complex civil litigation in U.S. courts and in international dispute resolution proceedings, including both multinational litigation and international arbitral proceedings. He has litigated and arbitrated investment, securities and accounting fraud matters, commercial and financial disputes, antitrust violations, RICO claims, and Alien Tort Statute claims, as well as bankruptcy matters, intellectual property disputes, and executive employment disputes.
Mr. McCarthy has also represented and defended U.S. and international corporate clients, as well as individual clients, in white collar criminal proceedings, internal investigations, regulatory enforcement matters, and extradition proceedings, including dealings with the Department of Justice and the FBI, the IRS, the SEC and state regulators, and the Department of State. He has also worked with major accounting firms on internal investigations and other proceedings relating to issues arising among banks, public companies, and privately held entities, and has past experience as a transactional attorney.
Tim is admitted to the State of New York, Southern District of New York, and Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
